Purpose of Westhaven Gold's 2025 Summer Drill Program

Ken Armstrong, President and CEO of Westhaven Gold, shared his perspective on the 2025 summer drilling program at the high‑margin, low‑cost Shovelnose gold project, situated in southern British Columbia’s prolific Spences Bridge Gold Belt

Westhaven completed just over 6,200 meters of drilling, which was more than double the originally planned amount, across 13 holes. The program had two main goals:

 (1)   To drill through the South Zone gold deposit to get samples for metallurgical work, specifically metal leaching and acid rock drainage studies. This geochemical and environmental work is required for advancing the project toward pre-feasibility and feasibility stages and environmental baseline work.

 (2)    To drill holes testing a new exploration model developed by the team over the previous summer.

To make a new discovery, the new model views the South Zone deposit as a fully preserved epithermal gold system with known attributes and footprint. The team's goal is to use this understanding to generate new drill targets with a larger footprint to host other deposits of that size on the property.
