@CascadiaI spent the last four days at the Metals Investor Forum and the Vancouver Resource Investment Conference. It's a marathon, but with free admission it's a rare bargain in the world. Attendance was the strongest I've seen, with standing room only for many presentations. At the opening address for VRIC, people were sitting on the concrete floor. At MIF on Saturday, they cut off the open bar at 6:20 - earliest ever. Lobo Tigre was taking pictures of the crowd at his presentation, which filled the room and went out into the corridor.

The energy was strong, and their was probably a record number of first time attendees at VRIC. Interestingly, the pundits were very quiet about their predictions. The wild card that is Trump's policies, made the usual bold assertions on the macro picture simply impossible. The short message was uncertainty, continued instability, possible strong inflation and bullish on gold and silver. Long term, all other commodities.
I didn't run into Mike Konnert or Craig Parry. Jon Ward, the head of investor relations for the Inventa Capital group manned the booth and made the presentation. There isn't really any news, the accident is being investigated led by Simon Crmlec and no information of any kind is forthcoming. It was in the eastern part of the Panuco district, and as we see exploration activities will resume shortly. At this stage of the project, we have a few very large and significant milestones that will be achieved and the next part is at least a few months away.
Jon did a fine job on the presentation, they have been cut down to 10 minutes so he ripped through the highlights of the investor deck in record time. No major news to report. I did see a lot of Vizsla mentions in the presentations of other silver mining companies, it has grown in status to be one of the benchmarks of the junior silver sector.
Vizsla was mentioned as a stock pick by Rick Rule, Jeff Clark and Peter Krauth. The perception of jurisdiction risk in Mexico is in a very different place from a year ago, the presenters of Mexican projects have gotten the question every single time they talk for a year at least and it seems that the overblown possibilities that we were hearing about last year are not going to be reality. In one of his presentations, Rick Rule summarized it as people need to realize that jurisdiction risk is everywhere - in different forms.
The bull case for silver remains fully in place, and I probably saw presentations for 7 or 8 silver projects. None of them are close to Vizsla's key metrics. In terms of NPV, or IRR or AISC Vizsla is at least head and shoulders above the rest. The CEO of Silver Tiger is one of the most enthusiastic promoters I've ever seen, with an NPV at spot prices of $347 million, IRR of 54% and an AISC of $14. He's making comparisons to Mexican silver miners that are worth $2 billion.
It's an interesting time, there is a fair amount of geopolitical instability and evolution that is not going to go away. The bull case for gold and silver is particularly strong, and we seem to be close to the beginning of a strong trend with a lot more room to run. After four days, and seeing a lot of companies with small market caps and considerable dilution, I came away feeling better than ever about my position in Vizsla and very much looking forward for the year and years to come. GLTA.

@Indianaprospector@Cascadia Thanks for the summary. Vizsla has a deep bench for people with presentation skills. Also, you are a good writer.

@xatraxionGreat summary @Cascadia - Could you elaborate on "At this stage of the project, we have a few very large and significant milestones that will be achieved and the next part is at least a few months away."
Were any timelines given or mentions as to what milestones to expect ?

@Cascadia@xatraxion I'm just referencing what Vizsla's management has been talking about in their investor presentations. There is the test mine in progress, the feasibility study, the mine construction permitting, financing mine construction and building the mine. There are timelines in the investor presentation on the website for a couple of important events - there's the feasibility study in the summer of this year, and production H2 2027. Permitting is hoped to be complete early in 2026.
It would take the discovery and some definition of another Copala in the central or eastern centers of mass for increased mineralization to move the stock price. It would take the discovery and some definition of another Copala in the central or eastern centers of mass for increased mineralization to move the stock price. There's a two and a half year journey to production, but not a lot of major events to come in the news flow. What is to come is all highly significant and hopefully drives the share price. At the AGM I asked what was the biggest challenge facing Vizsla in the journey to production and Mike Konner said permitting. I think it will also be one of the biggest value drivers for Vizsla in the context of the recent concerns about AMLO and Claudia Scheinbaum for the Mexican mining space. With Simon Crmlec managing mine construction, and no foreseeable problems raising capital for construction we're really down to how quickly the mine can be approved.

@BobbyClsThe probability of a takeover offer happening in 2025 is quite high, especially after the test mine, FS and permits are concluded/received. The market is probably moving the share price in anticipation of this or those in the know are buying before a formal offer is tabled. Discovery drilling has not been priced in and could add significant value. All IMHO
@JohnnyQue@vikinginvest... relax a few killings here and there among cartels members is a good thing..less to deal with when Vizsla is in production. What do expect in here anyways? Inventa capital runs the show in here. Chill
@Rockfallagain some isolated propaganda by Viking our local Mexicano on site.. Anyway if they continue like this the cartel boys will all be extinguished and we can safely build our plant!! I like!

@Rockfallbuy buy buy! cheapest silver producer in the making!
@Wi^^ Strange that they discussed what they have done and are planning to do, rather than clip a bunch of news articles about narcos.

@WiSmall point but this answers my previous question about drilling at La Luisa -- they are in fact targeting the gap zone in 2025.

@kareadI notice that Alamos got their Mexico mining permit today from the new administration. Perhaps they have realized that mining is good for the economy...

@IndianaprospectorTiming for a PR on exploration drilling would be good for today. Gold and silver are moving.
@CascadiaAny thoughts on why the volume is so high today?

@Wi@Cascadia I haven't dug into which groups did the big sells, but I wouldn't be shocked at some more VZLA-issued shares as part of their ATM program.
