The Legal Stuff & Full Contest Details for the Golden Bib Contest
This Contest is governed by Canadian law. Entry in this Contest constitutes acceptance of these Official Rules. The “Golden Bib Contest” (the “Contest”) is sponsored by CEO.CA (the “Sponsor”).
TERM - The Contest begins upon the announcement of the contest on the CEO.CA platform. The deadline for all entries into the Contest is December 15 at 9:29am EST (the "Contest Closing Time"). Any Entries received after the Contest Closing Time will be ineligible.
ELIGIBILITY – The Contest is open to individuals who (i) are at least 18 years of age or older at the time of entry; (ii) are legal residents of Canada (excluding Quebec), the United States, or another country not listed as a Prohibited Jurisdiction; and (iii) are not listed as a Prohibited Person below.
PROHIBITED JURISDICTIONS - All countries on the United States’ list of embargoed countries, Afghanistan, Australia, Bahamas, Belgium, Belize, Bolivia, Cambodia, Chad, China, Colombia, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Egypt, El Salvador, Germany, Ghana, Guatemala, Guinea, Haiti, Honduras, Iran, Iraq, Iraq, Italy, Jamaica, Lebanon, Mali, Myanmar, Nicaragua, North Korea, Pakistan, Panama, Peru, Singapore, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tanzania (the United Republic of), Thailand, Trinidad, and Tobago, Tunisia, Turkey, Uganda, Ukraine, United Kingdom, Venezuela, Yemen, Zimbabwe, and any other country where local laws would prohibit an entry into the Contest.
HOW TO ENTER – The Contest does not require a purchase for entry. To enter the Contest, entrants must follow the outlined steps below. Failure to comply with the necessary steps below will result in disqualification, and such ineligible entries will not be entered into the judging phase of the Contest.
Step 1: Entrants are to select 3 publicly listed companies from the predetermined list provided by the Golden Bib Contest.
Step 2: Entrants are to submit their entries by posting their stock picks on the #GoldenBibContest channel on CEO.CA. Entries must include #GoldenBibContest within the post. Entrants must ensure that their post fits within CEO.CA’s House Rules. Posts that do not follow the House Rules will be removed by the Moderation Team and will not be entered into the next phase of the Contest.
ENTRY LIMIT – Entrants may only submit 3 publicly listed stocks from our list and may NOT enter more than 3 stocks for the Contest. If more than 3 stocks are submitted for the Contest, then the first 3 stocks submitted will be used as the Entrant’s submission. If less than 3 stocks are submitted, then they will be disqualified.
LATE/FAILED ENTRIES - The Sponsor takes no responsibility for late entries, or entries not successfully uploaded. Receipt of entries shall not be acknowledged.
ENTRY CONTENT - Entries must be the original work of the entrant and not copied from any source.
USE OF CONTENT – By participating in the Contest, entrants expressly authorize CEO.CA to host the entrants' content on their behalf.
COLLECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION– Any personal information collected from an entrant by the Sponsor will be used solely for the purpose of administering the Contest and will not be published or provided to any third party without the prior written consent of the entrant.
CONTEST PRIZES - The winner will win dinner at PDAC with Denis Laviolette, CEO of EarthLabs $SPOT, President and Co-Founder of New Found Gold $NFG, and Jim Paterson, Co-Founder and Principal of Discovery Group and Chairman & CEO, ValOre Metals Corp. The winner, if living in Canada (excluding Quebec) or the U.S., will also win travel to PDAC and tickets to the PDAC convention, scheduled for March 3-6, 2024, in Toronto. The dinner venue will serve lobster, with a preference for Red Lobster.
TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS FOR WINNERS: The winner residing in Canada (excluding Quebec), or the United States will be contacted by CEO.CA to arrange and book round-trip flight tickets to Toronto, along with a 3-night hotel stay for attending the PDAC convention. All travel arrangements will be made on behalf of the winner by CEO.CA. Participants from other regions are welcome to travel to the PDAC convention at their own expense. For such winners, CEO.CA will still provide a PDAC pass and the opportunity to join the dinner with Denis Laviolette and Jim Paterson. The specifics of travel, including dates, flight, and accommodation details, will be coordinated directly with the winner post-announcement.
CONTENT & CONDUCT: Participants must adhere to CEO.CA's content guidelines and avoid posting defamatory, obscene, or unlawful material. Violation of these guidelines may result in disqualification and/or legal action.
LIABILITY & INDEMNIFICATION: CEO.CA and its affiliates are not liable for any damages or losses arising from participation in the contest. Entrants agree to indemnify CEO.CA against any claims related to their participation.
CHANGES AND CANCELATIONS: CEO.CA reserves the right to modify or cancel the contest at any time due to unforeseen circumstances or legal requirements.
