We are joined by Dan James, President & CEO of Prospectiva Resources Corp., for an introduction to the newly listed copper-gold exploration company and its flagship São Francisco VMS Project in northeastern Brazil. Dan discusses Prospectiva's strategy of acquiring earlier-stage assets where additional exploration and drilling have the potential to add significant value. At São Francisco, historical work completed by Yamana Gold included approximately 5,900 metres of drilling, extensive geochemistry and geophysics, with historical drilling returning high-grade, near-surface copper mineralization including 7.5 metres grading 6.5% copper. A major focus of the conversation is Prospectiva's current 2,500-metre, 10-hole drill program targeting the SF1 zone. Dan explains how the company is using historical drilling, geochemistry and electromagnetic surveys to test the continuity of the VMS system and begin stepping out from the known mineralized footprint. Dan outlines the company's plan to follow the current drilling with a potential second phase of approximately 5,000 metres in 2027. Together with the historical drilling, Prospectiva believes the additional work could provide the data required to work toward an initial mineral resource estimate, subject to drilling successfully establishing sufficient continuity and grade. The conversation also covers Prospectiva's broader gold exploration portfolio, the company's approximately C$4 million cash position at the time of the interview and its upcoming news flow. Dan discusses plans to release results from the first three holes of the current program around mid-October, followed by additional drilling, geophysical results and exploration updates.
