We are joined by Gerald Panneton, President & CEO of Gold Terra Resource Corp., following the discovery of visible gold during early sonic drilling of the historical Con Mine tailings in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. Gerald discusses the company's ongoing tailings program, which is designed to systematically evaluate the historical material through approximately 140 sonic drill holes. At the time of the interview, Gold Terra had completed 37 holes and approximately 800 metres of drilling, with visible gold observed near the bottom of hole CMUP-005. A major focus of the conversation is why Gold Terra believes the historical tailings could represent an important opportunity. Gerald explains that the Con Mine historically processed high-grade gold mineralization and that a gravity circuit was not installed until later in the mine's operating history. The current drilling program is intended to determine how much gold may remain within the tailings and how that material could potentially contribute to the economics of a future operation. The conversation also covers Gold Terra's plans for an updated PEA incorporating Yellorex, the historical tailings and eventually the 1,003 North Zone. Gerald discusses a potential January or February 2027 timeline for the PEA as the company waits for additional tailings results, as well as ongoing discussions with Newmont regarding the proposed acquisition of the Con Mine.
