That thing used to be a tenth of a dollar in silver .  A silver dollar would contain close to one ounce of silver  at 90% pure . Ten dime would balance the scale to equal one dollar . Those were the days . When a smoke was a smoke . 

 I always liked the dime  . It meant something . Light weight but powerful . Much better than a penny or a nickle . 

  The US dime had FDR 's face on it , as it still does today . Don't you think all those great men , Washington . Lincoln , Jefferson  and even Roosevelt would feel disgraced to see their faces on worthless tokens that cost more to make than they are worth .

     Shame on you US mint . Who is driving this train ???

    Drop the penny and the nickle  . $1.99 isn't fooling anyone .
